Bank promotion exams
Internal promotion papers are written for people already doing the work, so they test judgement rather than recall. These mocks are built the same way.
Patterns vary by bank. Each bank sets its own promotion paper, and the weightings below reflect the common shape rather than any one bank's notification. Always read your own bank's circular for the marks split and negative marking rules before you sit the exam.

What these papers actually test
The syllabus reads like a list of topics. In practice the paper is testing whether you can apply a rule at a counter, under pressure, with an unhappy customer waiting.
Preparing while working full time
Most candidates for these papers are doing them alongside a branch job, which rules out the study plans written for aspirants with free days. Two things matter more than hours: work the topic sets on weekdays in short blocks, and sit one full-length paper under proper timing every weekend so the pacing becomes automatic.
The single most common failure is not lack of knowledge but running out of time on the credit section, where the numericals sit. Sitting timed papers fixes that faster than more reading does.
